About Here Tomorrow
Here Tomorrow is a suicide-prevention nonprofit offering free, confidential peer support — and training the next generation of peer specialists to do the same.
Our story
When founder Joe Kenney’s son Gary was struggling with deep depression, Joe couldn’t find help — even with every professional connection he had. Gary died by suicide in April 2019. At Gary’s funeral, Joe committed to making sure no one else would have nowhere to turn. Here Tomorrow opened its doors in early 2021.
Today, Here Tomorrow provides free peer support to anyone who is struggling, worried about someone, or simply needs to talk — and trains new peer specialists to carry that support forward.
“We believe that asking for help should never be complicated, expensive, or uncomfortable. We believe that lived experience matters. And we believe that when people feel seen, supported, and understood, hope becomes possible.”
How we help
Free, confidential sessions with certified suicide-prevention specialists who understand struggle, recovery, and hope on a personal level. In person, by phone, by text, or online — you decide how much you want to share.
Our Learning Academy delivers the Florida Certification Board’s approved 40-hour Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CRPS) curriculum, plus Mental Health First Aid, QPR, and WRAP workshops — turning lived experience into certified skill.
Support groups, safety planning, and dedicated lines for youth, veterans, military members, and first responders — with Spanish-language support — so help meets people where they are.
